Darker berries, raspberries, graphite, and flowers, as well as a touch of crushed stone, all emerge from the 2022 Château Milens, a medium to full-bodied, elegant 2022. Based on Merlot and Cabernet Franc, I love its overall balance, and it has fine tannins and an already complex, satisfying style.

The 2022 Milens has a well-defined bouquet with blackberry, wild strawberry, crushed violet and light figgy scents. It is not overripe and has more freshness than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, fine acidity, chiseled tannins and an understated finish. This is a very commendable Saint-Émilion.

Despite a slightly oaky, toasty character, the 2022 Milens wafts from the glass with aromas of dark berries, spices, toast and mulberries. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and rich, it's almost opulent with a youthful, assertive tannic frame with powdery tannins and a somber, quite oaky finish.
