Château Quinault l'Enclos is already a star of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. The wines crafted by the team at Château Cheval Blanc offer a very refined and seductive expression of this fabulous Libournais terroir. The wines develop intense aromas of black fruit and a full, structured palate that lingers into a fresh, fruity finish.
This 20-hectare estate located in the heart of Libourne has existed since the Gallo-Roman era. The vineyard has an average age of 45 years, with some plots containing very old vines. In 2008, Baron Frère and Bernard Arnault, chairman of the LVMH Group (Yquem, Cheval Blanc), purchased this vineyard, in which they saw great potential. Indeed, the fine gravel terroir it possesses is ideal for crafting a great wine. Furthermore, the team from Château Cheval Blanc, led by Pierre Lurton, manages this estate. The wine of Château Quinault l'Enclos is therefore crafted with the same care as a Premier Grand Cru Classé. With an organic approach, the team surrounding this vineyard elevates this beautiful terroir to offer us, year after year, a wine that is fruit-forward, precise, elegant, and profound. Very well received by international critics, the wine of Château Quinault l'Enclos gains in complexity, finesse, and consistency every year.
