Coche-Dury wines offer a singular expression of Burgundy, with a precise and artisanal approach. They feature a refined texture, a subtle balance between substance and freshness, and elegant tannins. The whites (like the reds) were very slow to finish their malolactic fermentation. We were only able to rack them at the beginning of September—just before the 2009 harvest—once all the whites had finally completed their malo. The initial tastings before malolactic fermentation showed wines that were a bit awkward and very concentrated. After the malo and racking, they gained an enormous amount of finesse. It is a rich vintage, with good fruit freshness, supported by beautiful acidity.
