Domaine Bernard Gripa

Domaine Bernard Gripa offers wines with a silky texture, often marked by a beautiful freshness. They feature expressive substance, elegant tannins, and a harmonious balance. The aromatic profile is typical of Saint-Joseph, with a mineral imprint linked to the granitic soils. These red wines, sometimes dominated by Syrah, possess real aging potential.

Château history

Domaine Bernard Gripa, anchored in the commune of Mauves, is a family estate whose history was marked by a decisive turning point in 1974. It was on this date that Bernard Gripa began bottling and marketing his own wines, a move that would profoundly transform the estate.
The property spans a 16-hectare terroir characterized by granitic soils. This geological distinctiveness imparts a characteristic minerality to the wines, contributing to their identity and fostering significant aging potential. The estate has distinguished itself through its red and white Saint-Joseph, as well as its Saint-Péray. The "Le Berceau" cuvée, produced from centenarian vines, is emblematic of the property, in both red (Syrah) and white (Marsanne). Today, Fabrice Gripa, Bernard's son, has taken over the management of the estate, perpetuating a family legacy founded on originality and high standards.
