Domaine de Cristia offers ample and concentrated Châteauneuf-du-Pape red wines, often dominated by Grenache. They feature rich texture, present yet well-integrated tannins, and notable freshness. The overall balance is harmonious, with a complex aromatic profile ranging from ripe red and black fruits to sweet spices. These wines express a beautiful Southern Rhône identity and possess good aging potential.
Domaine de Cristia, anchored in Courthézon in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is above all a family story. Founded approximately 70 years ago by Etienne Grangeon, the estate initially spanned a few hectares planted with Grenache.
It was his son, Alain Grangeon, who gave the estate new momentum starting in 1963. Passionate about viticulture, he played a decisive role in the estate's evolution by planting grape varieties such as Syrah and Mourvèdre, thereby helping to forge the identity of Cristia, based on deep knowledge and meticulous respect for the soil. In 1999, his sons, Baptiste, Dominique, and more recently Florent, joined the family adventure. Together, they have directed their work toward rigorous plot selection. Today, three generations of winemakers share their passion and expertise across the 21 hectares that make up Domaine de Cristia, spread throughout the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.
