At Domaine du Banneret, the red wines display a beautiful concentration and rich substance, supported by present yet elegant tannins. There is a pleasant freshness that balances the power of the fruit. The red Châteauneuf-du-Pape reveals a complex aromatic profile, typical of the appellation, with a persistent finish on the palate. The whites, which are rarer, offer a silky texture and a lovely vivacity.
Domaine du Banneret is a family-owned estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Founded in the 1980s by Jean-Claude Vidal, the estate has remained committed to artisanal production, in keeping with the appellation's traditions.
Today, Audrey Vidal, the founder's daughter, continues the work he began with a meticulous approach. The vineyard, covering less than five hectares, is planted on the rolled pebble soils typical of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The grape varieties are dominated by Grenache, complemented by Syrah and Mourvèdre, all traditional varieties of the region. Domaine du Banneret favors small-scale production, resulting from careful vineyard management and traditional winemaking, aimed at preserving the expression of the terroir.
