Domaine Giraud

Domaine Giraud crafts an ample Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where Grenache expresses itself with intensity. The texture proves silky, carried by tannins that are present yet elegant. The balance is remarkable, with freshness stretching the substance and adding complexity to the whole. A beautifully crafted wine with real aging potential.

Château history

Domaine Giraud, located in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is a family estate that has established itself as a benchmark of the appellation. The history of the estate is defined by the passion and hard work of several generations.
While the Giraud family has been established in the region for a long time, the estate truly began to flourish in the 1980s under the leadership of Marie Giraud and her husband, François. They gradually expanded the vineyard and modernized the facilities, all while respecting the traditions and the unique terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today, the estate spans several plots spread across the appellation's finest terroirs, notably featuring the rolled pebble soils typical of the region. The traditional grape varieties of the Southern Rhône Valley are cultivated there with care, particularly Grenache, which holds a place of honor in the estate's blends. In recent years, the new generation, represented by Marie and François's children, has continued the work begun by their parents, with an increasingly environmentally conscious approach and a desire to reveal the purest expression of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir. Today, Domaine Giraud is recognized for its elegant and complex wines, which reflect the richness and diversity of this exceptional terroir.
