Domaine Jacques Carillon offers precise and elegant white Burgundy wines. They feature a beautiful expression of the Puligny-Montrachet terroir, with an often silky texture and refreshing acidity. The wines offer a complex aromatic palette, ranging from white fruits to floral notes, with a distinctive minerality. Balance and finesse are the watchwords, promising interesting aging potential.
Domaine Jacques Carillon is a family estate firmly rooted in Puligny-Montrachet, an iconic village in the Burgundy wine region. The Carillon family has been working the vines there consistently for generations. Records show that Jehan Carillon was already a winegrower in Puligny as early as 1520.
The history of the current estate is marked by a recent split. Previously, the operation was grouped under the company Louis Carillon et Fils, created in 1981 and managed jointly by Jacques and François Carillon. Starting with the 2010 vintage, Jacques and François chose to separate their activities to create their own entities: Domaine Jacques Carillon and Domaine François Carillon. Domaine Jacques Carillon thus continues to perpetuate a family legacy, producing white wines that aim to be a faithful expression of the Puligny-Montrachet terroir. The estate's logo is, in fact, inspired by an engraved stone dating back to 1632, discovered in a village cellar, which serves as a testament to the long-standing family presence.
