Domaine Lavantureux offers Chablis of beautiful freshness, with sapid and balanced textures. One often finds a vibrant acidity that stretches the wine, as well as a minerality typical of the area. The cuvées present an aromatic palette ranging from citrus to floral notes, with a persistent finish. The estate's wines offer interesting aging potential, particularly the Premiers Crus Fourchaume and Beauroy.
Domaine Lavantureux, anchored in Lignorelles in the heart of the Chablis region, is a family estate renowned for its white Burgundy wines. The story began in the 1970s with Roland Lavantureux. Today, his sons, David and Arnaud, have taken up the torch, continuing the work already accomplished.
The vineyard spans some twenty hectares, dedicated exclusively to Chardonnay, the region's iconic grape variety. The clay-limestone soils typical of the Chablis region impart a characteristic minerality to the wines. Domaine Lavantureux offers a range that reflects the diversity of these terroirs, from Petit Chablis to Chablis Vieilles Vignes, as well as Premiers Crus and Grands Crus.
