Domaine Meix-Foulot

Domaine Meix-Foulot offers Mercurey red wines with present yet elegant tannins, often marked by a beautiful freshness. They feature fruity substance and a silky texture, with a balance that highlights their aging potential. In white, the wines of Domaine Meix-Foulot present a delicate aromatic expression and a harmonious palate, typical of the best Chardonnays of the Côte Chalonnaise.

Château history

Domaine Meix-Foulot is a wine estate firmly rooted in Mercurey, Burgundy. The De Launay family, who have watched over this estate for eight generations, have left their mark on the history of the appellation.
Agnès Dewe De Launay, at the helm of the estate since 1996, embodies this family continuity. She follows in the footsteps of her great-great-grandfather, Edouard De Suremain, who as early as 1923 foresaw the need to protect the Mercurey terroir, long before the appellation's official recognition in 1936. Today, Domaine Meix-Foulot spans some twenty hectares, divided between the Mercurey appellation and plots of Bourgogne Aligoté and Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise. The vineyard is cultivated according to environmentally friendly principles, with HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. Among the cuvées produced are the Mercurey 1er Cru Monopole Clos du Château de Montaigu, as well as other red and white expressions of Mercurey, sourced from various climats.
