Domaine Michel Bouzereau et Fils excels in expressing the great terroirs of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The white wines offer a precise texture, subtle balance, and beautiful freshness. They feature notes of citrus, white flowers, and an elegant minerality. The reds, notably the Volnay 1er Cru Les Aussy and the Beaune Les Vignes Franches, present a delicate substance, fine tannins, and definite aging potential.
Domaine Michel Bouzereau et Fils is rooted in the tradition of great white Burgundy wines, in the heart of the villages of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The Bouzereau family has been part of the history of these terroirs for seven generations.
It was in 1970 that Michel Bouzereau sensed the exceptional potential of these sites. He then set out to develop the estate by acquiring select parcels. Nearly twenty years later, his son, Jean-Baptiste Bouzereau, began learning the craft of viticulture and winemaking. Today, the estate spans some ten hectares. The primary objective is to practice soil-respecting viticulture in order to produce grapes of impeccable quality.
