Domaine Ponsot offers wines with a silky texture, often marked by a beautiful freshness. They feature delicate substance, fine tannins, and a subtle balance. The aromatic profile is complex, with notes of red and black fruits. The finish on the palate is persistent, testifying to excellent aging potential, particularly for the Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis cuvées.

The Griottes vineyard is located on the southern part of the commune, towards Morey-Saint-Denis, opposite the Chambertin Grand Cru and right next to Chapelle-Chambertin. The soil is limestone, quite deep with a good distribution of clay marl.
