At Regnard, we appreciate wines with a precise texture and subtle balance. The Chablis Grand Regnard offer a beautiful expression of Chardonnay, with mineral freshness and a delicate aromatic profile. The Premiers and Grands Crus express a more intense substance and increased complexity, while maintaining a vibrant acidity. The impression on the palate is persistent, a sign of definite aging potential.
Maison Régnard, firmly anchored in the heart of Burgundy, is an iconic figure of Chablis. Founded in 1860, it stands out as one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in the region. Its history is marked by a constant determination to craft wines that express the authenticity and typicity of their appellations.
A major turning point occurred in 1984 when Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took over the estate. From that moment on, he committed to perpetuating and elevating the Régnard wine style, in scrupulous respect for Burgundian traditions. Maison Régnard relies on an exceptional viticultural heritage, allowing it to produce wines from the noblest terroirs of Chablis. Among them are the seven Grands Crus (Les Clos, Bougros, Blanchots, Grenouilles, Preuses, Valmur, and Vaudésir) and the principal Premiers Crus (Fourchaume, Montmains, Vaillons, Montée de Tonnerre, and Mont de Milieu), not to mention the Chablis and Petit Chablis appellations. In 1992, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette created the Grand Régnard, a special cuvée presented in a unique bottle, sourced from a rigorous selection of the House's best Chablis parcels.
