Château history

Domaine William Fèvre has established itself as an essential benchmark in Chablis, in the heart of Burgundy. Founded in 1959 by William Fèvre, this estate has actively contributed to the revival of this flagship appellation. Its history is one of gradual expansion, driven by the selection of remarkable plots, including many prestigious Grands Crus.
The adventure began with the seven hectares owned by the family, growing to 80 hectares today, 16 of which are classified as Grands Crus. This expansion reflects the estate's commitment to the excellence and diversity of Chablis terroirs. In 1998, the estate was acquired by Maison Bouchard Père & Fils, another Burgundian institution. Since then, Didier Seguier has ensured the preservation of the wines' quality and style, while introducing a modern and environmentally conscious approach. Priority is given to limiting yields, with an organic approach, and even biodynamic practices since 2010. William Fèvre Chablis wines are particularly appreciated for their pure and precise expression of terroir, their vibrant freshness, and their characteristic minerality. The range extends from Petit Chablis to the most renowned Grands Crus, such as Les Clos, Les Preuses, and Bougros Côte Bouguerots. The Premier Crus Vaillons and Fourchaume also illustrate the estate's singular style. Domaine William Fèvre is a major player in the Chablis appellation, recognized for its expertise and respect for the terroir.
