    Vinous Tasting Note

    The 1966 Banyuls has a feisty bouquet with maraschino, fig jam, mirabelle and rosewater, plus touches of strawberry in the background. The palate is medicinal and reminds me of Benelin (a cough syrup for kids). Though nicely delineated, this perhaps just lacks a little tension and complexity towards the finish. Fine.
