The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin La Perrière 1er Cru has more ripeness and depth than the Fonteny. Touches of black plum infuse the red fruit, though it needs more delineation and éclat . The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, an appreciable restraint and hints of orange zest filtering through on the finish. This will drink earlier than other cuvées from Rebourseau.

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Perrière is once again a high point in the Rebourseau range, delivering attractive aromas of cherries, smoky berries, incense and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate with good depth and energy.
