At Cellier Saint Benoit, one finds precise and vibrant wines. The reds, often crafted from local grape varieties like Ploussard, offer a delicate texture and beautiful freshness. The whites, particularly those based on Chardonnay, stand out for their balance and complex aromatic profile. The impression on the palate is marked by a minerality typical of the Jura, promising interesting aging potential. The wines accurately express their Arbois-Pupillin terroir.
Le Cellier Saint Benoit is a wine estate rooted in the heart of the Jura, on the terroirs of Arbois and Pupillin. The estate's history took a decisive turn in 2003 when Denis Benoit, representing the third generation of a family of winemakers, decided to vinify his grapes himself. Previously, the family farm practiced polyculture and sold its harvest to the local cooperative. Denis Benoit then founded the estate in the former family farmhouse.
Today, it is his son, Benjamin Benoit, who continues the work begun and breathes new momentum into the estate. With training acquired in Beaune and experience in Burgundy and abroad, he is committed to demanding viticulture, now converted to organic farming. Le Cellier Saint Benoit produces wines that express the typicity of Jura grape varieties, with a range extending from whites based on Savagnin and Chardonnay, to reds made from Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir, not to mention a Crémant du Jura.
