Champagne Taittinger

At Taittinger, the champagnes are distinguished by a classic style and undeniable elegance. The blends give pride of place to Chardonnay, offering richness and vinosity. We particularly appreciate their liveliness, balanced structure, and beautiful length on the palate, all underscored by delicate floral notes. Evolution reveals nuances of hazelnut and brioche, testifying to an interesting aging potential.

Château history

The House of Taittinger, an iconic figure in Champagne, has its roots in a rich viticultural past. The family’s history in Champagne truly began with Pierre Taittinger. As a young liaison officer during the First World War, he discovered the exceptional potential of the region.
In 1932, he decided to establish himself there by founding his own champagne house, with the support of his brother-in-law. The company quickly distinguished itself with a unique style, notably marked by a significant proportion of Chardonnay in its blends. This choice gives Taittinger champagnes their characteristic elegance and finesse. Over the decades, the House has managed to preserve its identity and expertise, despite economic shifts and changes in ownership. In 2005, the Taittinger group was sold to an American investment fund. However, the following year, Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger took back the reins of the family business. Surrounded by his children, Vitalie and Clovis, he is committed to perpetuating the heritage and excellence that define the brand's renown.
