Chateau de Beaucastel

Chateau de Beaucastel

At Château de Beaucastel, we seek balance and freshness in powerful wines. The texture is often rich, with concentrated substance and tannins that are present yet well-integrated. The aromatic profile is complex, ranging from red and black fruits to spices and notes of garrigue. The finish on the palate is persistent, with definite aging potential, especially for the Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Château history

Château de Beaucastel is a historic name in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, inseparable from the Perrin family. Its winemaking history dates back to the 16th century, but it was at the beginning of the 20th century that the Perrins anchored themselves in this exceptional terroir.
The acquisition by Pierre Perrin in 1909 marked a turning point. He initiated a restructuring of the vineyard and a modernization of winemaking methods. His son, Jacques Perrin, then took the reins and helped forge the château's identity by producing wines of a quality that established its reputation. The vineyard spans approximately 130 hectares, with about one hundred planted with vines. The uniqueness of Beaucastel lies in its grape varieties, which highlight the thirteen varieties authorized by the appellation. This diversity allows for the creation of complex wines that express the full potential of the terroir. Today, the fifth generation of the Perrin family continues the work of their ancestors, cultivating the estate according to the principles of organic and biodynamic farming.
