Château history

Domaine Hubert Lamy, anchored in Saint-Aubin, is a respected figure of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. The estate’s history took flight in 1973, when Hubert Lamy, drawing on experience gained alongside his father, decided to strike out on his own. In its early days, the estate spanned only 8 hectares, primarily dedicated to regional appellations.
A major turning point occurred starting in the 1990s, marked by significant expansion. New plots were acquired or leased, including prestigious Saint-Aubin Premiers Crus such as "La Chatenière," "Derrière chez Edouard," "Murgers des Dents de Chien," and "Clos du Meix," as well as plots in Santenay and Chassagne-Montrachet. Hubert Lamy also made the bold choice to replant plots formerly dedicated to Pinot Noir with Chardonnay, convinced of the potential of this grape variety on these specific terroirs. Since 1995, Olivier Lamy, following studies in viticulture and oenology and experience gained in France and abroad, has joined his father. Together, they combine tradition and innovation, with Olivier bringing new ideas to both the vineyard and the winery. Today, the estate covers 18.5 hectares, with a predominance of Chardonnay (80%) and a portion of Pinot Noir (20%). In 2003, the facilities were expanded with the creation of a modern pressing unit and separate cellars for the aging of white and red wines, allowing for greater control over fermentations. Today, Domaine Hubert Lamy encompasses around twenty appellations and an annual production of 110,000 bottles, distributed in 25 countries.
