Wine Advocate Tasting Note

Sourced from old vines planted on the marl-clay heights of Cairanne, interspersed with sand and pebbles, the 2022 Cairanne l'Ebrescade is a striking wine. It opens with an expressive bouquet of dark wild berries, spices, violets, chocolate and pepper. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and dense, it offers a fleshy core of fruit balanced by a gently austere profile, leading to a long, deep and remarkably precise finish. It's a blend of 45% Mourvèdre, 40% Syrah and 15% Grenache Noir that was vinified in concrete tanks and matured for two years in foudres.
