The 2023 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a fragrant bouquet that just needs a bit more of the red fruit to come through, just a bit too loose-knit compared to its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins, tart red fruit laced with orange pith leads to a nicely controlled finish that maybe plays it safe but that's to its advantage.
