Vinous Tasting Note

The 2023 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru exhibits impressive intensity on the nose, featuring finely delineated blackberry, licorice and brown spice aromas with a subtle leather backdrop. It is medium-bodied with a ripe entry on the palate, teetering on the edge of overripeness. The finish offers plenty of licorice and black pepper notes, though it would benefit from more red fruit to bring out a stronger Pinot Noir character in this cuvée.
