A full-bodied, ripe, nicely textured Pomerol, the 2022 Château La Croix has lots of currants and chocolaty, spicy notes as well as a concentrated style on the palate. Despite its richness, it stays pure, balanced, and light on its feet.

The 2022 La Croix de Gay has a fresh, more marine-influenced bouquet, much more classical in style in the context of the vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, gentle grip, a seam of dark chocolate that then overrides the finish and leaves it feeling rather monotone. The extremes of the vintage have left their mark on the 2022 La Croix de Gay, a medium to full-bodied, soft, fleshy, low-acid wine evocative of smoked meats, toasty oak and berry compete.
