The 2018 Bolgheri Superiore is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc aged in French oak for 18 months. It shows immediate aromas of dried cherry, licorice, plum, potting soil and sweet floral tones of acacia and even a touch of honeysuckle. There is a savory note to this wine with powdery tannins and a subtle touch of bitter astringency. Production is 4,200 bottles.
