One of the Trapet family's historic holdings, which they began to bottle separately last year, the 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru En Ergot derives from a parcel acquired in the 1880s that's an enclave within premier cru Petite Chapelle but with deeper soils. Delivering aromas of cherries, berries, plums and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a generous core of fruit and a charming, elegant profile.
