The 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses Clos Berthet 1er Cru is such a pretty wine. The nose takes a few minutes to find its mojo, eventually acquiescing and revealing its inner mineralité . The palate has developed a touch more creaminess in texture over the last 12 months, yet the acidity keeps any opulence in check and it has a deft, subtly spiced finish. Yeah, it's young but such pleasure.
