Wine Advocate Tasting Note

Beginning with the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Le Clos Reyssié, this cuvée will receive a longer élevage, amounting to 11 months in barrel and six in tank. Unwinding in the glass with notes of apple skin, waxy lemon rind and pastry cream, it's medium to full-bodied, muscular and concentrated, with the powerful, blocky profile I often associate with this famed Chaintré climat. Assuming its subtly oxidative style isn't a harbinger of things to come, it should evolve gracefully.
