MILENS 2019

Impressive red and blue fruits, flowers, sandalwood, and spicy wood emerge from the 2019 Château Milens, another medium-bodied, elegant, nicely textured wine in the vintage. I like its tannins, the balance is spot on, and it already offers considerable charm. It's beautifully done. Drink bottles over the coming 10-12 years or so.

The 2019 Milens is concentrated on the nose with bold raspberry and blackcurrant aromas mixed with truffle and vanilla. The palate is smooth and sensual. The pure red fruit, framed by saturated tannins and the silky finish, is just gorgeous. This is a finely crafted Saint-Émilion - delicious.

Deep purple-black in color, the 2019 Milens sings of crushed blueberries, stewed blackberries and black cherry compote with nuances of fragrant soil, violets and aniseed plus a hint of clove oil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is decadently juicy, framed by bold freshness and plush tannins, finishing long and perfumed.
