About the Producer

Domaine Claude Dugat is a shining star of Gevrey-Chambertin, in Burgundy. Established in the heart of this legendary village for several generations, the Dugat family works just over six hectares of vines there. Claude Dugat, an iconic figure, pioneered a soil-respecting approach as early as the late 1980s, instilling a unique style in his wines, which are sought after for their vibrant fruit, concentration, and natural elegance. Claude Dugat's wines accurately express the typicity of their exceptional terroirs. Among the flagship cuvées, the Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques stands out for its depth and refined character. The Grands Crus Charmes-Chambertin and Griottes-Chambertin embody the ultimate expression of Burgundian Pinot Noir, wines of rare intensity. Also noteworthy is the Bourgogne Rouge, a delicious and accessible introduction to the Dugat style. It is in the former tithe cellar, acquired by his father, that Claude Dugat crafts these rare and coveted wines, symbols of excellence in Gevrey-Chambertin. Among the most closely followed cuvées are Claude Dugat Gevrey-Chambertin, Claude Dugat Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, and Claude Dugat Griottes-Chambertin Grand Cru, all useful benchmarks for understanding the house's identity.
