About the Producer

Domaine Clau de Nell is a jewel of Anjou, intimately linked to the figure of Anne-Claude Leflaive, the celebrated winemaker from Puligny-Montrachet. This pioneer of biodynamics breathed new life into this exceptional Loire terroir, whose history dates back several centuries. Today, her legacy is passionately preserved by her husband, Christian Jacques, and a dedicated team that continues to make the estate's wines shine. The vines of Clau de Nell flourish on unique soils, giving birth to vibrant red wines, thanks in particular to Cabernet Franc, the appellation's signature grape variety. We particularly appreciate the expression of the Clau de Nell Anjou Cabernet Franc, as well as the originality of the Clau de Nell Grolleau IGP Val de Loire. The estate also produces a remarkable Clau de Nell Chenin Blanc, not to mention a surprising Clau de Nell Blanc de Noir. The Clau de Nell Anjou Cuvée Violette is another highly sought-after expression of this terroir.
