About the Producer

Domaine Coursodon, an institution of the Saint-Joseph appellation, is firmly rooted in Mauves, a historic village that serves as the cradle for this flagship appellation of the Rhône Valley. For several generations, this family of passionate winemakers has been dedicated to revealing the expression of the terroir through authentic and singular wines. Today, Jérôme Coursodon embodies the continuity of this family legacy, perpetuating ancestral know-how on these steep granitic hillsides. It is said that his great-grandfather, Étienne Coursodon, was one of the first to replant Syrah after the phylloxera crisis. The estate's wines are distinguished by their finesse and depth, offering a beautiful aromatic complexity that is the signature of a great Saint-Joseph. Among the iconic cuvées are the Saint-Joseph Silice Rouge, an undisputed benchmark, as well as the Saint-Joseph L'Olivaie, Le Paradis Saint Pierre, and La Sensonne, which are parcel-specific expressions of the estate's talent. The estate also produces remarkable whites, including the Saint-Joseph Silice Blanc and the Saint-Joseph Le Paradis Saint-Pierre Blanc. An essential destination for discovering and appreciating Saint-Joseph in all its splendor. Among the most sought-after cuvées are Domaine Coursodon Saint-Joseph L'Olivaie, Domaine Coursodon Saint-Joseph Silice Rouge, and Domaine Coursodon Saint-Joseph Le Paradis Saint Pierre, which serve as useful benchmarks for understanding the house's identity.
