Château history

Domaine Michel Niellon is a wine estate firmly rooted in Chassagne-Montrachet, in the heart of Burgundy. Its history is, above all, that of a family intimately connected to its terroir.
The adventure began with Léon Niellon, whose patient and passionate work has since been carried on by subsequent generations. Today, the estate spans just over 7 hectares, divided between the prestigious Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties. The house's philosophy is based on sustainable viticulture, attentive to the specific characteristics of each vintage. Harvesting and winemaking methods remain traditional, while incorporating modern equipment that best preserves the quality of the grapes and the authentic expression of the wines. Domaine Michel Niellon is particularly renowned for its Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Crus, which include Clos de la Maltroie, Clos Saint-Jean, Les Chaumées Clos de la Truffière, and Les Champs Gain. It also produces Grand Crus, including Chevalier-Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet, which contribute to the renown of this family estate.
