Vinous Tasting Note

Classic deeply pitched, mature Bollinger aromas of toffee and coffee. Then full, concentrated, fairly dry and distinctly fresher in the mouth; really fat and tactile in the middle. As always, this is a Champagne made to be served with a meal. Finishes fairly long, with slightly disjointed acidity.

About the Producer

About the Producer

The Champagne Bollinger estate, a prestigious house firmly rooted near Aÿ, has perpetuated a tradition of excellence since the 19th century. Its history is marked by iconic figures, including the legendary Madame Bollinger, who successfully established her own style and brought international renown to her champagnes. Today, the estate remains independent and true to its identity, offering vinous, powerful, and highly complex champagnes, in which Pinot Noir expresses itself with nobility. Champagne Bollinger cuvées are distinguished by their aromatic richness and aging potential, offering an intense and refined tasting experience. The Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut, a true ambassador for the estate, perfectly embodies this balance between power and elegance. Exceptional years are elevated in the Bollinger La Grande Année Brut and Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut cuvées, which are highly sought-after expressions of specific vineyard plots. It is said that Bollinger champagne is a favorite of James Bond, adding a touch of glamour to its already immense prestige. An essential house in Champagne. Among the most closely followed cuvées are Bollinger La Grande Année Brut, Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut, and Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises Blanc de Noirs—useful benchmarks for understanding the house's identity.
