About the Producer

Château Giscours, a prestigious Troisième Grand Cru Classé, is a pillar of the Margaux appellation, anchored in Labarde. Its history dates back several centuries, and since the 1990s, this Médoc flagship has belonged to the Jelgersma family. Alexander Van der Beek currently manages the estate, upholding an ambition for quality and an inimitable style. The vineyard spans magnificent terroirs, giving rise to powerful and concentrated red wines typical of the Margaux appellation. The tannic structure, a signature of Château Giscours wines, grants them excellent aging potential, promising favorable evolution in the cellar. In addition to its grand vin, the château also produces La Sirène de Giscours, a second wine crafted with equal care, as well as cuvées in Haut-Médoc. It is said that an ancient keep, once dedicated to the defense of the Médoc, stood proudly on the site of the current château. The consistency and inimitable style of Château Giscours make it a sure bet and an essential Margaux for lovers of fine Bordeaux wines. The estate notably works with appellations such as Troisièmes Crus, which extend its signature with consistency.
